1a. Even if I'm wrong, I have enough flannel to recut at least a little of it.
2. I cut the yokes, sleeves, front, and back and am pleating the body onto the yoke. Rather than gore, I decided to use the full width of the flannel. I like volume, and one never knows when a flannel tent will come in handy. Also, this does make things a little faster and easier for me.
3. I'm planning on pleating, rather than gathering, the body into the yoke. The fronts will be knife pleats facing in to the opening, and the back will have a box pleat at the center. I think eight pleats per side will be good on the fronts.
4. I still need to sit down and figure out to deal with the front placket opening.
